Madi Rose

Hello, beautiful souls. My name is Madi, and I'm the founder of Wild Rose Beauty Boutique. At 29 years old, I'm a mum to three incredible babes – one with the beautiful complexities of autism and ADHD – and I navigate life with Lipoedema and kidney disease. I'm also a survivor of domestic violence. These aren't just labels; they're threads woven into the fabric of who I am, shaping every step of my journey, especially in the world of small business.

My Why: A Different Kind of Healing.
I often get asked if beauty therapy was always my ultimate calling. The honest truth? It was a "yes and no" kind of journey. For a while, the dream of becoming a doctor burned brightly within me. But growing up, I was surrounded by the hum of the beauty world, thanks to my amazing mum, who is also a beauty therapist. There was a pull, a quiet calling I couldn't ignore. Sorry, Mum, I know you secretly wished for a hairdresser, but I followed your footsteps down the beauty path instead! And honestly, I feel like I am healing people, just in a different way.
Wild Rose Beauty Boutique isn't just about treatments; it's about building self-esteem, nurturing self-worth, and fostering self-love. I strive to be a safe space for every client who walks through my door – a listening ear, a trusted friend. I'm forever grateful for each and every person who chooses Wild Rose. You’ve become more than clients; you’re truly family. This deep connection, this desire to create a sanctuary where everyone feels seen and valued, is why I created Wild Rose Beauty Boutique. It's a place for everyone to feel safe, beautiful, and cared for.

At 15, I was incredibly blessed with a beauty traineeship, a stepping stone that truly shaped my future. Now, 13 years later – and yes, that number still blows my mind! – I’m still here, watching this dynamic industry evolve, and I’m growing right along with it.
• The Thorns and the Growth: Navigating Challenges.
Taking over my mum’s beauty salon was a monumental leap of faith. With three kids, including my youngest, who had just turned two, and my middle son with special needs, self-doubt crept in like a shadow. "Could I really do this?" I questioned myself relentlessly. There were days, especially in those early stages, when the weight of it all felt crushing. Juggling the relentless demands of a new business with the beautiful chaos of motherhood, particularly with a child who needs extra support, pushed me to my absolute limits. Sleep became a luxury, and personal time, a distant memory.
Beyond the logistical hurdles, I wrestled with deeper, more personal struggles. As a domestic violence survivor, rebuilding my life and finding my voice after such a profound experience was a continuous process. There were moments when fear would try to grip me, whispers from the past threatening to undermine my confidence. The chronic nature of Lipoedema and kidney disease also meant navigating physical challenges and managing my health while pouring my heart into my business. These weren't just external obstacles; they were internal battles that required immense resilience and self-compassion.

But within these struggles, key turning points emerged. Each time I thought I couldn't go on, a client would share how much our space meant to them, or I'd see the pure joy o
n my children's faces, and it would reignite my fire. Learning to ask for help, truly leaning into my support system, and letting go of the need for perfection were transformative steps. One major turning point was realizing that my vulnerabilities weren't weaknesses; they were the very source of my empathy and strength. They allowed me to connect with my clients on a deeper level, creating the authentic, safe space I envisioned.
I’ve had to overcome so much within myself – the fear of failure, the lingering echoes of past trauma, the temptation to give up when things got overwhelmingly tough. I've learned to silence the inner critic that told me I wasn't good enough, strong enough, or capable enough. Through every challenge, I've found a deeper well of resilience I never knew I possessed.

Through this journey, I’ve grown profoundly as a woman. I’ve become fiercely independent, a tenacious problem-solver, and a more compassionate and understanding human being. Running Wild Rose Beauty Boutique has taught me the power of community, the importance of self-belief, and the incredible strength that comes from embracing your authentic self, flaws and all. I’ve learned that growth often happens not in comfort, but in the stretch and the struggle. I did it and I'm so proud at what I have achieved.
For any woman just starting out on her own business journey, or perhaps navigating a difficult season in life, here’s my heartfelt advice:
• Embrace Your "Why": Cling to the core reason you started. On tough days, it will be your anchor.
• Build Your Village: You cannot do it all alone. Lean on friends, family, mentors, or even other small business owners. Support is not a weakness; it’s a superpower.
• Be Patient and Kind to Yourself: Growth isn't linear. There will be setbacks. Treat yourself with the same compassion you’d offer a dear friend.
• Your Story is Your Strength: Don't hide your struggles. Your authenticity will resonate with others and create deeper connections.
• "Always shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars." This quote has guided me. Dream big, Madi, and know that every step, even the wobbly ones, is part of your incredible journey.

Thank you for allowing me to share a piece of my heart with you. May your own journey be filled with resilience, growth, and the blossoming of your truest self.
Love, Madi xx
