“Sizing, The Mama Mane Fit"

The Mama Mane Fit

"Designed for curves from the very beginning."

There's a difference between making clothes bigger and designing specifically for curves.

Many fashion brands start with a smaller size and simply add centimetres as they size up.

At Mama Mane, we take a different approach. Our garments are thoughtfully designed with curves in mind from the very beginning, considering tummy, hips, thighs, bum, bust, upper arms and movement throughout the design process.

Because curvy bodies deserve more than extra centimetres. They deserve clothing designed specifically for them.

WHY MAMA MANE FITS DIFFERENTLY

If you've ever tried on a garment that fit your hips but pulled across your tummy, fit your tummy but felt restrictive through the arms, or technically fit but never felt quite right, you're not alone.

Many garments are designed for smaller body shapes and then scaled up across a size range.

At Mama Mane, our sizing has been developed around real curvy proportions. Every size is thoughtfully graded to create balance, comfort and proportion across the entire garment.

We don't simply make clothes bigger. We design for curves.

FASHION SHOULD FIT THE BODY YOU HAVE

Real bodies sit, travel, eat, move, work, parent, laugh and live.

That's why many Mama Mane styles are designed with thoughtful room through the tummy, hips, thighs and bum while still maintaining the feminine silhouettes you love.

Because clothing should work with your body, not against it.

UNDERSTANDING OUR SIZING

Our sizing is designed to provide a comfortable, curve-friendly fit across a variety of body shapes.

Our size labels are:

XS = 12–14

S    = 14–16

M   = 18–20

L    = 20–22

XL  = 22–24

CC = 24–26

CC stands for Cute Curvy and represents our fullest size range.

As every body is unique, we always recommend checking your measurements against our size chart below for the most accurate fit.

CHART

INTERNATIONAL SIZE CONVERSION

[See chart above Included USA, UK and NZ. measurements are in cm.

HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF

For the most accurate fit, we recommend measuring yourself while wearing fitted clothing or underwear.

Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your bust while keeping the tape measure level.

Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist.

Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom.

If your measurements fall across multiple sizes, we generally recommend choosing the size that best accommodates your largest measurement.

UNDERSTANDING GARMENT MEASUREMENTS

Body measurements and garment measurements are different.

Body measurements refer to your own body dimensions.

Garment measurements refer to the actual measurements of the finished garment.

Many Mama Mane styles are intentionally designed with ease, movement and flow, meaning garment measurements may be larger than your body measurements.

This extra room allows for comfort, movement and the relaxed silhouettes many of our designs are known for.

WHERE TO FIND GARMENT MEASUREMENTS

Because every style fits differently, individual garment measurements can be found within the product images on each product page.

These measurements are taken from the finished garment and are the most accurate way to compare a specific style against something you already own and love.

If you're ever unsure about sizing, we're always happy to help. Simply send us a message and we'll guide you towards the best fit for your body and the style you're considering.

BETWEEN SIZES?

If you sit between two sizes, consider how you prefer your clothing to fit.

Many customers choose their size based on their largest measurement and then use the garment description to determine their preferred fit.

WHAT SIZE ARE OUR MODELS?

Each product page includes model sizing information wherever possible.

We recommend checking the product description to see the model's usual size, height and the size she is wearing.
