Finding Purpose Through Creativity : My Journey with Crystal Goodness Creations

I am Andrea—mother of two, wife, sister, friend, and the creator behind Crystal Goodness Creations. My journey into handmade jewelry wasn’t planned, but looking back, every step led me here.

For six years, my husband and I hoped, prayed, and waited to become parents.

When we finally held our babies in our arms, it was nothing short of a miracle. Motherhood changed me in ways I never expected, and returning to a 9-to-5 job no longer felt right. I wanted to be there for every giggle, every sleepy cuddle. My husband, the main provider for our family, supported this choice, and together, we embraced a simpler, more intentional life—one where presence mattered more than possessions.

Still, something inside me longed for a creative outlet of my own. Then COVID-19 happened. In the quiet hours after my children went to bed, I started painting. It gave me peace, a sense of self beyond “Mum.” Around that time, I also found myself drawn to spirituality. Crystals began filling my home, and before I knew it, I was feeling their energy in ways that reshaped everything I thought I knew about the universe.

One day, I bought a wire-wrapped crystal necklace. With money tight, I wondered, Could I make this myself?

I watched a single YouTube tutorial, picked up some wire, and that was it—I was hooked.

Two years later, Crystal Goodness Creations is an extension of me. I work mostly in the evenings once my children are asleep, crafting one-of-a-kind, small-batch pieces, each one made by my hands. I tailor my business around my family, ensuring I’m present for school holidays and special moments.

Of course, times have changed. The economy is different now, and we’ve made more sacrifices. But the values that brought us here remain the same—family over fortune, presence over possessions. What started as a creative escape became a way to connect, create, and share something meaningful with the world.

And for that, I am endlessly grateful.

With love Andrea x
